Mother was outraged that I misquoted her on the subject of dreams. Dreams are not best left to "prostitutes and politicians" but rather for "large children and small men."
I was born in a dusty house on Flicker Street in the City. My mother was assisted by my brother, Oliver, who was only three at the time. My father was busy playing Carrom with the boys from work and wouldn't learn of my existence for another 72 hours.
